The Foundation for Recovery supports recovery community centers throughout the state. Community Center services include computer access, life-skills training, meetings and social events, peer support, and a safe place to simply relax.

The Center is an LGBTQ+ support center in Las Vegas. They provide HIV services, gender transition support, various support groups, senior events, youth and family programs, recovery support groups, and referrals to necessities such as housing, transportation, food, and more.
Trac-B Harm Reduction

Trac-B Harm Reduction provides comprehensive harm reduction services in Las Vegas. They offer needle exchange, harm reduction supplies, naloxone (Narcan) kits, fentanyl test strips, HIV and Hep C testing, and peer services. Trac-B also has vending machines that dispense various kits such as clean syringes, naloxone, safer sex, hygiene, first aid, and sharps containers. Vending machine cards are free.

Nevada Homeless Alliance
For those experiencing homeless or at risk of doing so, the Nevada Homeless Alliance provides emergency housing, legal services, and help finding work. Specialty services are available for families with school-age children, youth, and seniors.
Nevada Peer Support Warm Line

When you struggle with mental health, substance use, or other behavioral health issues, talking to someone who has been through the same experience can help. The Nevada Peer Support Warm Line connects callers to Peer Wellness Operators who can provide a listening ear, peer support, and referrals to treatment programs or other social services as needed.

They have prevention resources, outreach programs for youth and parents, and a variety of other resources. They also provide training to educators, professionals, and other community members.

The CARE Coalition provides education in Clark County to raise awareness about the impact of drug and alcohol misuse. They support youth, adults, community members, and drug prevention agencies. CARE Coalition programs include a Youth Summit, Safe Pill Disposal, and a program focused on Embracing Life as Women.

The Reno Corps of The Salvation Army is a Christian faith based organization that offers adult men an Adult Rehabilitation Program for addiction. The program is free because you work instead of paying for the program. They offer group and individual counseling, anger management classes, work therapy and spiritual support.

Crisis Support Services of Nevada offers a free and confidential substance use disorder helpline. It is available 24/7 via phone and text for people affected by alcohol or substance use disorder and their family members. Callers receive education, support, and referrals to treatment options in the state.

Nevada State’s Student Wellness Services offers a variety of services to support students. They have a case management team that helps students with essentials like food and housing as well as mental health concerns and support for addiction treatment and recovery. They can connect you to counseling, peer support, recovery meetings, and more.

This includes Recovery 5Ks, an on-campus center, recovery meetings, volunteer opportunities, and sober events. The goal is that students can have both academic and personal success during their time at UNR.
