About St. Monica Life Changing Recovery for Women
St. Monica’s Life Changing Recovery for Women offers trauma-informed care for women who are diagnosed with substance use disorders and or coexisting health issues. They offer residential treatment, outpatient programs, community support and training services. Fees are based on a sliding scale based on income.
Their short-term residential facility includes an eight week intensive substance abuse program that’s staffed 24 hours a day. Clients will be assessed and meet with a therapist so that a treatment plan can be created for them. It will likely include a combination of individual and group counseling, educational groups, spiritual and family counseling, medical services, parenting classes and discharge planning.
I like that they have another tier of residential care. This one's for women who have been sober for at least 30 days and have completed a primary treatment already. This program focuses on the Therapeutic Community Model and includes employment and community reentry as well as relapse prevention and aftercare.
Their Project Mother & Child program is for women who are pregnant or parenting young children. There's an on-site licensed early education center that children can attend while mothers are in treatment. Children will also be evaluated and tested. If you're pregnant, they will help you create a birth plan.
The Women Are Sacred program is specifically for Native American women who are pregnant or have children. This program is a secondary treatment program for women who have been sober for at least 30 days. Again, on site ECE programs are available for children during program hours. They also coordinate with family drug courts and provide medicine wheel programming as well as Keepers of the Children and Circle of Security programs.
St. Monica’s also offers transitional houses to help women reintegrate back into society. Clients can spend four to six months in these homes and continue to develop good daily habits and healthy routines. They'll have 24-hour staff coverage, an individualized treatment plan and at least eight hours of programming a week. They also have transitional housing for mothers with up to two children.
