About North Dakota State Hospital

Located in Jamestown, North Dakota, is an alcohol and drug rehab center and psychiatric hospital that treats men and women. They provide high intensity residential treatment and short term, acute inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment. Services include safety net services, forensic services, evaluations and treatment for sexually dangerous individuals, medical nursing, educational services, individual therapy, group therapy, and more. Family treatment is also provided.

North Dakota State Hospital offers separate units for those who are being treated for sexual offenses to ensure the general client population is safe. Individuals engaged in the addiction treatment program and the psychiatric program will receive programming and services seven days a week and will have monitoring around the clock. Upon completion of the program, clients may ask for referrals for continued support for their outpatient continued care. This location does not provide detoxification and they require clients who do not have a medical condition that would require nursing 24/7.
