About Houses of Hope
Houses of Hope is based in Lincoln, Nebraska and works with individuals dealing with substance use and mental illness. They run three programs including a halfway house, a short term residential substance use program and a service coordination program called TASC.
They have three halfway houses in the area that provide transitional living for men. These drug free homes are for folks who have already completed substance use treatment and need additional support before returning to independent living. During your stay you will work, participate in individual and group counseling, and participate in 12 step groups.
When you first arrive, you'll work with your counselor to create a treatment plan that includes transitioning out of the program. Your length of stay will depend on your needs and ability to progress and meet goals. You'll have one individual counseling session every week, a weekly house meeting, and one weekly therapy group. You can also see The Clinical Director for additional support as needed.
Their Touchstone program is a structured short term substance use treatment facility for both men and women. This program addresses mental health issues as well as substance abuse using 12 step philosophies and clinical treatments. People generally stay between 35 and 42 days. You'll have a 12x12 locker for your personal items, and you won’t be able to have anything that doesn't fit, so you'll need to pack light.
Their TASC program is a collaborative program that offers crisis response teams, emergency support, community services as well as care services for youth. It works to help clients be successful in the community and improve their quality of life. I like that this program is staffed 24/7 and serves both urban and rural areas.
