About Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center Scott County Clinic

Serving the counties of Western Arkansas, the Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center Scott County Clinic is a behavioral health nonprofit organization in Waldron, Arkansas. They have a collection of 12 community health centers that provide substance abuse treatment, mental health therapy and crisis care. At the Scott County Clinic, care is provided in an outpatient setting and is available for adults, children and families.

Immediate crisis care is available to you or your family members if you’re experiencing a mental health or substance abuse emergency. For adults, short term residential care that can provide immediate treatment is an option. This short term stay is 72 hours. Children and adolescents will be triaged and referred to appropriate treatment programs.

Substance abuse treatment will include a combination of individual and group therapy with case management services. Your treatment plan will be dependent on your personal recovery goals and your initial assessment. Medication assisted treatment is available if needed as a part of your recovery plan. If you have a teen aged 13 through 17, a specialized addiction treatment program is available for them at this location. Children are also offered help with daily living and social skills with qualified behavioral health providers. If you require a court ordered education program because of a DUI charge, Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center has a certified Drug Alcohol Safety Education Program with screenings and classroom instructions.

Adult Program

Adults aged 18 and older who struggle with substance abuse can attend an adult program in Arkansas to receive treatment for addiction. These programs provide intervention therapies that help the individual stop using and learn ways to stay clean.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Often used to treat dual diagnosis disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy in Arkansas addresses disroders like PTSD, ADD, anxiety, OCD, and bipolar disorder, along with substance use disorders. This method helps individuals find connections between their feelings, thoughts, and actions and understand how those things affect their recovery.

Men's Rehab
