About Southwest Nu Stop – Closed
Southwest Nu Stop was an alcohol and drug treatment facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It opened in 1995 but has since closed. The facility served clients referred from recovery homes and offered medication assisted treatment (MAT) for detox and maintenance.
The primary population served was poor and low income individuals, and they accepted Medicaid. The center was five miles from downtown Philadelphia and easily accessible from major roads and Bartram’s Garden. There were several nearby bus stops. Please note that this facility permanently shut down back in 2022.

The facility was located on Woodland Avenue in the Kingsessing area of Philadelphia. Nearby residents have been impacted by the closure, since they served mostly low income residents, many of whom lacked transportation.
