About Consortium

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is well known as being the setting of the Rocky movie series. It’s also where you can get support training for a different kind of fight — the fight to overcome substance use and mental health disorders. Consortium provides outpatient treatment, case management, and employment support from their location on Chestnut Street.

Effective Addiction Recovery Services

The Hope Counseling Center offers adults outpatient counseling for behavioral health needs. They use evidence based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have same day and next day appointments available. If you need more intensive addiction focused services, they may refer you to the Adult Treatment Program on University Avenue in Philadelphia.

The Chestnut Street location also houses the Blended Case Management program for adults, which helps those with mental health disorders and co-occurring addiction issues live independently in the community. Services are available around the clock and include housing services, a day treatment program and help coordinating other needs.

I also noticed that the Integrated Recovery Center is located here. It provides adults with psychiatric rehabilitation and outpatient treatment. There are peer support services, which allows people who have been through similar challenges to encourage you and link you to resources that have been helpful in their journeys.

Help With Employment in Philadelphia

For clients who need help building job skills and securing meaningful employment, Consortium makes supported employment services available. I like that these services include help with your resume, finding job opportunities and ongoing support once you land a new position.

They also have peer support where you can share concerns and job ideas with others. The emphasis is on helping you find a job that matches your strengths and interests at a competitive wage.
