About Northwest Journey Day Treatment – Green Bay

Northwest Journey Day Treatment in Green Bay is a community based day and half day treatment program for school aged children and adolescents, operated by Northwest Counseling and Guidance Clinic.

The program offers individual, family and group counseling alongside educational services, care coordination and transitional support for youth with behavioral or emotional needs.

Rooted in a trauma informed, strength based and family centered approach, I like how Northwest Journey aims to keep kids thriving at home, in school and in their communities.

Youth Day Treatment

Northwest Journey specializes in supporting children and teens whose needs go beyond traditional weekly outpatient counseling.

The Green Bay team blends therapeutic care with academic structure, providing a setting where young people can stabilize, build skills, and reintegrate successfully into school and family life.

A typical day combines individual and family counseling with group sessions covering living skills, anger management, communication and self esteem, coping and stress management, healthy living and recreational therapy, and alcohol and other drug issues.

I want to add that most sites also include one hour of structured education daily, coordinated with local school districts and clients receive evidence informed care tailored to their goals.

Step Down Support

Northwest Journey is also a trusted step down option for youth transitioning back from inpatient, residential or group home settings.

With transportation provided, in person psychiatry and telepsychiatry available, and close coordination with schools, the program is designed to prevent out of home placements and promote lasting community based success.

Getting Started

The program operates in person at 123 S Van Buren St in Green Bay, Wisconsin with a virtual option available when needed.

Northwest Journey accepts all forms of insurance including medical assistance and completes a benefits check before enrollment.
