North Central Healthcare Mount View Care Center, located in Wausau, WI, provides care for those with mental health, substance abuse recovery and skilled nursing needs. They offer on-site respiratory, physical, occupational and speech therapies and hospice coordination. Their staff includes certified wound care nurses, nurse practitioners, ventilator-dependent care specialists and a medical director.
Their complex medical care services include wound management, feeding tubes and tracheostomy care, central lines, respiratory and ventilator dependent care, sleep disorders and pain management, mental health counseling, and substance abuse treatment.
They offer a vast range of programs to discover new talents and peak interests including visual arts and crafts as well as community outings such as sporting events, museum visits and fishing.
You’ll also have access to recreational games and hobby groups, regular worship services, seasonal festivities and holiday celebrations, musical entertainment, resident council, food council, intergenerational programs, and bingo.
They help patients with Power of Attorney drafting, discharge planning, and paperwork. They were awarded a five star rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. They also have a warm water physical therapy pool on site for therapy, which is my favorite feature of this facility.
