UnityPoint Health Meriter Hospital New Start is an outpatient drug and alcohol rehab in Madison, Wisconsin. They have traditional outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care so they’ll create a treatment plan around you and your recovery.
For the most part, your program will include therapy with a mixture of individual therapy and group therapy. They also have medication assisted treatment if that will help your recovery. This involves medications like Suboxone and Vivitrol to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
What I find most unique about this treatment center is that they create a nonjudgmental environment for people at any stage of the recovery process even if you’re just exploring whether or not this is for you. They emphasize honesty over perfection and they’ll walk with you along the recovery journey.
While they do offer mental health care here it’s specifically for people with a dual diagnosis. In other words, they don’t provide mental health care alone to people who don’t have drug and alcohol addiction.
