About Cornerstone

Cornerstone is a drug rehab facility in a commercial district of Greenwood, South Carolina. They offer outpatient substance use treatment services. The facility provides addiction recovery services to all residents of Greenwood County, including the cities of Hodges, Ninety Six, and Ware Shoals.

Individuals can also access preventative education and DUI re-licensure programs. The facility has over 50 years of experience providing drug and alcohol treatment. Cornerstone is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and licensed by the SC Department of Health.

Group therapy, individual therapy, and support groups are some of the services you can expect to receive during the intensive outpatient program. Support groups are different from group therapy by being more focused on community building and less formal. IOP also provides support for families and offers complimentary therapies to help you in your recovery process.

You’ll receive the treatment at the facility every day for at least an hour, and the duration of these services will be determined between you and your therapist. Peer support specialists will also be available to you to assist you with your recovery needs. You can choose to receive their encouragement and help in one on one setting or a group setting.

Clients who’ve been convicted of a DUI can complete the Alcohol and Drug Safety Program at Cornerstone. Completion of this program allows you to be eligible to receive your license again. The Employee Assistance Program is a service designed to give counseling services to employees and their families. Various organizations and businesses are contracted with Cornerstone to provide these services free of charge. Employees can receive counseling for different mental health issues, including substance use disorders.

One additional thing I like about this organization is they give priority to pregnant women and IV drug users. They strive to treat these patients within 48 hours. Otherwise, interim services such as counseling will be provided.

Greenwood is a part of upstate South Carolina, just an hour away from the city of Greenville. Your time outside of treatment can include visiting the Railroad Historical Center or unwinding at Lake Greenwood State Park.
