About Cheyenne Transitional Center
Cheyenne Transitional Center (CTC) in Cheyenne, Wyoming is an adult community corrections facility. They are owned by a private corrections company, CoreCivic. The company is contracted by the Wyoming Department of Corrections to provide an adult community corrections program.
A Transitional Home to Get Treatment After Incarceration
The facility houses individuals who are preparing to reenter the community from incarceration, as an alternative to incarceration, or as an alternative to probation or parole revocation.
The facility is a coed halfway house with 126 beds available to residents. Residents receive a number of treatments and life skills training while at the center.
While at the facility you will receive substance abuse treatment. This residential experience provides you the opportunity to gain control of your addiction while living in a sober environment.
Life Skills Training for Long Lasting Recovery
Besides addiction treatment, the programs here include learning to manage anger, manage money, provide effective and proper parenting, and other life skills the residents need. The facility also helps residents find employment and provides drug testing.
Residents pay a fee for rent from their employment earnings. When residents are 30 days from release, they are allowed to establish credit and/or a bank account.
