About Beacon House
Situated in the residential suburbs of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, Beacon House provides a safe home for women in crisis who are experiencing addictions and their children. Beacon House is a transitional living home that provides treatment for chemical dependency using the 12 Step Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) program.
Counselors and trained staff are on-hand to provide an individualized treatment plan for each resident, focusing on mental, spiritual, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Treatments may include individual and group counseling, parenting education, life skills, relapse prevention, referrals to community resources, employment counseling and family groups.
Specialized groups for eating disorders, anger management, relationship challenges, domestic violence, and spirituality are available. Childcare is offered during counseling or group meetings.
Transitional housing isn’t typically covered by health insurance, but any referrals for mental health, addiction, or medical treatment may be covered by private health insurers such as Anthem, Beacon, Cigna, Humana, Wellmark, ComPsych, HCSC, BlueCross/BlueShield, and Ambetter. Always check with your provider to confirm coverage and out of network benefits.
