About Zepf Center Ashland

The Zepf Center Ashland is a treatment facility located in Toledo, Ohio. They offer services for kids, adolescents and adults who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. They offer outpatient therapy, care coordination, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), maternal opiate medical support, individual counseling and recovery housing. They accept Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare insurance along with credit or debit card payments.

The Zepf Center has been a Toledo mainstay for about 50 years. Located on the western edge of Lake Erie, the city is filled with cultural and artistic attractions, including the National Museum of the Great Lakes. The Ashland Avenue location was purchased in 2014 when Zepf Center merged with Compass Services. I like that they take a social approach to addiction recovery, helping you plug into individual and group therapy to overcome your issues.

At this location, they offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using methadone. This FDA-approved medication can help relieve your physical symptoms, minimize your cravings and reduce your relapse risk as you move forward in recovery. Other services available here include comprehensive care coordination, criminal justice support, gambling prevention programs and crisis emergency help. I think it’s interesting that Zepf Center Ashland also has an active Youth Street Outreach Program and a recovery program just for moms addicted to opioids, called MOMS (Maternal Opiate Medical Support).

If you need more extensive support or round-the-clock care, then they may refer you to one of their inpatient locations. There, you’ll find gender-specific programs that include medically monitored detox and withdrawal management. While in outpatient treatment, you’ll have the opportunity to plug into all that Toledo offers including fascinating historical sites, museums, and a great Metropark system.
