About The Well
The Well is a treatment facility located in suburban Norfolk, Nebraska. They were formerly known as Women’s Empowering Lifeline. They offer supportive services and treatment for adults and their children who are struggling with co-occurring conditions and substance abuse disorders. You’ll benefit from receiving high-quality inpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) options, supportive housing, and mental health crisis respite services.
Since their founding, their mission has been to offer guidance, ongoing support, and healing to individuals from all backgrounds who are seeking recovery and elevating their quality of life. If you’re concerned about the inability to receive treatment due to being uninsured or underinsured, they offer sliding scale fees and private forms of payment.
What I found so neat about The Well is their approach for providing integrative especially for inpatient treatment. When you’re struggling with chemical dependency and co-occurring conditions, it can be exhausting, uncomfortable, and overwhelming. Their dual disorder residential treatment program was designed to help you heal in these areas of your life. You’ll receive a variety of services including case management support, medication management, psychiatric services, peer support, health and wellness education.
Their Mommy and Me residential treatment program is available to pregnant people and women with children for ages 12 and under. This allows you to prioritize your recovery with your child in a therapeutic, safe, and cozy atmosphere. This program ranges between 4-6 months and includes therapy, trauma care, child care, and child specific treatment. Some of the many skills they will help you gain include parenting, job readiness, budgeting, and cooking.
Something else that captured my attention was their intensive outpatient (IOP) program. The weekly schedule will consist of one hour of individual counseling and nine hours of group therapy a week while letting you live independently at home. They provide individualized care where topics like family roles, body image, and trauma. Although this program is gender focused, they’ll accommodate you and how you identify so you can still get the healing and treatment you need.
