About Hudson Behavioral Health

Hudson Behavioral Health in Salisbury, Maryland, is an accredited, high-intensity residential addiction treatment center. Available to adult clients, treatment here combines traditional and alternative methods for a rounded, holistic approach to care.

High-Intensity Residential Addiction Treatment in Salisbury

Founded in 1980, this organization is committed to providing high-quality inpatient care. At this secluded and peaceful Salisbury location, you can hunker down for medium to high-intensity treatment while making yourself at home on this beautiful campus. I think it’s great that if you also happen to have any co-occurring disorders or conditions, your needs will also be accommodated here.

Within your first 48 hours on campus, you’ll immediately be welcomed into treatment. You’ll undergo assessments, drug tests and medical evaluations, and your belongings will be checked and searched to ensure security. You may also be scheduled for lab work and also receive Narcan training and Vivitrol education. Staff will familiarize you with the daily programming, and you’ll meet with counselors and aftercare coordinators to establish your personal and discharge treatment plans respectively. If you’re needing to detox, you’ll get set up with the facility’s withdrawal management procedure.

Day-to-day, you can expect to take part in group therapy, psychiatric services, peer support and alternative therapy groups. Individual therapy is also provided, and family sessions are encouraged. Support groups include programs like Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery. There are also peer support specialists on hand here who can mentor clients throughout their recovery.

I appreciate that they also offer alternative therapy options and sober activities. Some of the ones you might come across here are trauma-informed yoga and group drumming sessions.

Addiction Aftercare in Maryland

Clients who complete treatment here can also access continuing care and support even once they’ve been discharged. Clients are given a discharge plan, which generally involves referrals to further appropriate levels of care, treatment coordination, sober resources and housing options. Some clients may also be encouraged to seek a sponsor and attend local 12 Step group meetings.
