About Wells House at Gale Recovery

Located in Frederick, Maryland, the Wells House is a dual diagnosis addiction treatment center, providing a full continuum of care. Services include inpatient residential drug rehab, intensive outpatient, case management, peer services, medication assisted treatment, and mental health support.

Serving both Frederick and Washington counties, Wells House is an evidence based behavioral health provider that has been improving the quality of lives of those often underserved. With the mission of providing safe, effective, substance use disorder treatment, Wells House has the experience and the expertise to give patients the support they need. The team also gets involved in advocacy efforts, hosting Town Halls and forums about the social issues facing the people they serve and their community.

Wells House at 608 East Patrick Street (Wells House @ Gale Recovery) joined the Wells team in 2015, moved into new treatment facilities, and marked 40 years of substance use treatment in the community. The Frederick location provides behavioral health treatment services, residential addiction treatment, individual and group counseling, family therapy, peer support meetings, education and skills building, workplace assistance, case management, and support in removing any barriers to living a life free of drugs and alcohol. Residents are also supported in completing their GED education if they haven’t already.

Wells House accepts Medicare, Maryland Medicaid, private pay, and commercial insurance plans. They also accept individuals who are uninsured.
