About Welcome House Inc
Welcome House provides a residential sober living program for men who are dealing with alcohol or drug addiction. This facility is located in Kansas City, Missouri and is a transitional program that helps men move from residential treatment or incarceration or homelessness back to society. This program is designed to be accessible to everyone and charges a small daily fee which includes meals and all programming. Friends, family and organizations may pay rent in support of a specific resident.
Welcome House uses the 12 step recovery principles to provide a structured and supportive environment where residents can grow into their full selves. Each resident will have an individualized plan that helps them focus on their needs and their obstacles to recovery. In order to be a resident at Welcome House you must attend meetings and maintain your sobriety. You have to secure and maintain employment while you are a resident and have the support of a sponsor.
Residencies are recommended to be nine months long however, clients can choose a different timeline no greater than 12 months. There are also community service requirements as well as an emphasis on building relationships with others in the recovery community.
