About VOA Recovery Freedom House
Break free from the grip of drug addiction without being separated from your children at VOA’s Freedom House in Louisville, Kentucky. All your children under the age of 18 can join you at the residential facility for the duration of your treatment and even women at all stages of pregnancy are accepted. Freedom House takes a family-focused recovery approach, with support to create a reunification plan and available parenting classes.
The residential program has three phases, which vary in their level of intensity. Phase 1 is the highest intensity and focuses on building a foundation for recovery. Phase 2 is low intensity residential with a focus on reintegrating into the community. Phase 3 is an intensive outpatient program with boarding available that allows you to work around treatment.
In each phase of treatment, you’ll receive a tailored treatment program, personalized to your unique needs and goals. Your treatment plan will contain a combination of evidence based treatments including medications for opioid or alcohol use disorder, individual, group, and family therapy, peer support, and education classes for drug and alcohol addiction.
Further services available to support your recovery journey include the option to live in VOA transitional housing for up to two years, housing and employment support services, and classes for life skills, nutrition, and vocational training.
