About VIP Community Services

The Bronx, New York, is the birthplace of hip hop and home to VIP Community Services 716 Facility, a live-in drug and alcohol rehab for adults. They take in those who benefit from 24 hour support in a safe, substance free environment.

I noticed that many of the people who come here for help have experienced the negative effects of substance use on their physical and mental health. Some may have legal trouble or lost their homes or jobs.

Get the Three Essentials of Residential Recovery in the Boogie Down Bronx

I found that they base your recovery on the three vital elements of a good recovery program. It doesn’t matter what condition you’re in when you arrive for treatment, they’ll stabilize you physically, mentally and emotionally.

The next stage of recovery will be rehabilitation. You’ll be treated through a combination of individual and group counseling, assessments, job assistance and life skills training. The final stage of your recovery is reintegration into the community and with your loved ones.

A Safe Place for Healing in Downtown New York

One aspect of this place I value is that they understand that feeling safe is a key to successful recovery. They’ve created a safe haven in this densely populated area by upholding the guidelines of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.

It’s also neat that they’re surrounded by greenspaces so that you can stretch your legs. If outdoor excursions are possible, check out Prospect Playground and Admiral Farragut Playground, across the street. Walter Gladwin Park is a couple of blocks away.

I appreciate that all their treatments are trauma informed and assist you with any mental health challenges you’re facing. Through the recovery journey, you’ll come to recognize and grow your resilience. You’ll learn better ways to cope with stress and challenges. It’s time to thrive.
