Sessions incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and trauma informed counseling, relapse prevention and the matrix model, with structured skills practice and 12 step principles.
Treatment addresses both substance use and underlying mental health challenges, and I think it's important to add that they are delivered by chemical dependency professionals who are also licensed mental health clinicians to support the whole person.
Justice Involved Services
True Star offers formal pathways for justice involved adolescents through Drug Court coordination and detention based treatment programming. These services provide structured, court aligned outpatient care designed to reduce recidivism, support accountability and create long term recovery outcomes for young people navigating both the behavioral health and juvenile justice systems.
Getting Started
True Star serves youth and families in Clallam County from its Port Angeles office on West 18th Street, with in person services available Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
