About Touchstone
Touchstone in Lincoln, Nebraska, provides compassionate care to men and women who are starting recovery from an addiction use disorder. I appreciate that they recognize that addiction does not discriminate. As such, they offer services to individuals of all socioeconomic status. Here, you’ll be supported through the short term recovery program or the residential treatment program. You’ll be guided through quality care with trained and experienced addiction recovery counselors and staff.
The programs here follow the Recovery Model. Under this model, there are four major components considered in your recovery. They include health, home, community and purpose. Your care team will work diligently to ensure these elements have a place in your recovery plan.
Counseling support and care is trauma informed. This means that your care team recognizes how your past history and experience have impacted your addiction use and how they should impact your recovery. They will work with you one on one to uncover the root of your addiction struggles. Additionally, they’ll help you identify different triggers and habits that have contributed to your addiction struggles.
Through evidence based therapies like dialectical behavior and cognitive behavioral therapy, you’ll work through self reflection techniques that can help you make healthier choices. Through group and individual therapy, you can explore how others frame their thinking and how you should frame yours to move through the recovery process with success.
You’ll also be supported through motivational interviewing. This is a recovery practice that encourages you to discover your strengths. When you’re able to identify your strengths and pair them with healthy skills, you’ll feel empowered through recovery. With this therapy and others, you’ll work with a care team that will treat you with dignity and respect. You’ll find the motivation to build skills that can positively impact you when you face challenges in recovery.
Other services you’ll benefit from are 12 Step style recovery meetings like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Through fellowship, you can build a support system that will help guide your recovery.
Other services you’ll find here include life skills education and health and wellness support. There are also services if you are experiencing a mental health struggle. Also, I appreciate that you can navigate recovery in a peaceful setting through regular recreational outings.
