About The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center

Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center provides professional residential addiction treatment to adults aged 18 and older, regardless of race, sexuality, or background.

Many of us have heard of The Salvation Army, but were you aware that they also offer drug rehab services? They provide the largest number of no fee rehab facilities than any other program in the U.S., helping over 150,000 people overcome their substance abuse issues. Their Fort Wayne center offers a holistic approach to recovery that provides social, emotional and spiritual support, as well as group and individual counseling to its participants.

Individuals can also access spiritual counseling, individualized counseling services and work therapy to support their career trajectories. While the main focus of the program is rehabilitation, the work therapy element is designed to teach individuals strong work habits and transferable skills, restore their self esteem and create a sense of accomplishment that will propel and support them as they enter or return to a professional environment. As participants near the end of their treatment, staff will support them in the process of applying for work and stable housing. Though not essential, the center considers post-treatment employment a key component in a successful and long term recovery journey.

Participants at this facility can also benefit from daily nutritious meals, support groups, relapse prevention, life skills education sessions, as well as chapel services, bible study and pastoral counseling to support their spiritual needs. Christian living opportunities are also available. Referrals can also be made for participants in need of further or more intensive care. On top of all this, participants can benefit from various recreational events to unwind while they put in the work for their recovery journey. Some of the activities include movie nights, games, sports nights, fishing, karaoke and much more.

Overall, this center aims to offer a safe, compassionate space for people to heal in, where they can entirely channel their energy into recovery. As for the time commitment of this program, participants can expect to be in treatment for a minimum of six months.
