About The Refuge Ministries Columbus
Located in Columbus, Ohio, The Refuge Ministries is a Christian based addiction treatment center, serving men over the age of 18 with substance use disorders. The Refuge Ministries offers residential drug and alcohol rehab to males in Ohio and out of state. The program includes recovery housing, counseling, employment services, and community resources.
Situated on a 138 acre farm in Lancaster, The Refuge Ministries addiction treatment program has been treating men with addiction since 1999. Their mission is to help men overcome addiction through Christ. They offer two programs: a 30 day Discovery program, after which they may continue in the long term 12 month residential recovery program. The structured programs include a safe and sober environment, opportunity for worship, development, and skill building, individual plan for personal growth based on biblical study, and a community of like minded and Christ centered men in recovery.
The Refuge Ministries is available at no cost to participants. As they are a working ministry, the wages of the men support most of their operating expenses, and the remaining costs are made up through contributions from individuals and churches. Intakes are every Monday and Thursday, and orientations are run weekly. To be accepted into the program, men must complete an application and an interview.
