The Drug Court program is a specialty program for people who have substance abuse or mental health disorders and have received charges from the court. This program uses community based treatment with strict supervision and progressive incentives and sanctions. Treatment court programs are designed to address mental health symptoms and reduce drug use while decreasing recidivism and criminal behavior.
The illness management and recovery program weekly several times per week and is run by a mental health practitioner who will help you develop personal coping strategies and move forward in your life. Through educational and therapy sessions, you’ll engage with topics like building social support, the stress and vulnerability model, and coping with stress.
Substance abuse treatment consists of group and individual counseling. Sessions will cover family conflicts, vocational skills, legal consequences, and relapse prevention. Family members are encouraged to attend some sessions and learn about mental illness and substance abuse. Emergency services are available 24 hours a day and can help connect you to the appropriate resources in real time.
