About The IDS Group Chicago

The IDS Group in Aurora, Illinois, provides DUI education classes and helps with license reinstatement to Illinois adults who've been convicted of a DUI. They also offer non-DUI substance use treatment and court ordered anger management classes.

Health insurance doesn’t pay for DUI education or legal support, but the clinic does have a sliding scale of fees for those who qualify. Your insurance may pay for non DUI counseling for substance use disorder — check with them for details.

DUI Classes and Evaluations in Chicago

I like that the IDS Group encourages drivers to take responsibility for their actions and think about the terrible consequences that can come from driving under the influence. They offer DUI evaluations and explain that the result is one of four risk classifications.

The risk classification will determine what education and/or treatment you may need. I noticed there are group and individual sessions available and everyone is there for the same reason, so there’s no judgment.

The lowest risk classification can take a DUI risk education class that runs 10 hours. Moderate risk is a 12-hour class. Significant risk requires 20 hours of group or individual counseling and high risk requires 75 hours, and both require continuing care afterward as well.
