About Talbert House Walnut Hills Gateways
Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Talbert House Walnut Hills Gateways in Hamilton County is a nonprofit mental health and addiction treatment center. Support is available to teens and adults, regardless of age, gender or background.
Walk-in sessions are available, which is great for individuals who want to make a quick start on their recovery journey. This usually begins with thorough assessments to allow staff to get better insight into clients’ medical histories and the severity of their addiction or mental health issues.
Once assessments are completed, clients will be moved onto the center’s addictions service line, which offers intensive substance abuse programming. The focus of this program is opiate abuse, with the program offering integrated care including assessments, day reporting, medication assisted treatment (MAT) and counseling. This is all available in either an outpatient, residential or jail setting.
Crisis stabilization is also an option at Talbert House’s 14-bed mental health residential treatment program. Designed to stabilize clients in a safe, comfortable environment, this program can offer individual and group therapy, medication management and a rapid response space for short-stay individuals.
The Engagement Center is a triage unit for clients struggling with opiate addiction. This includes those who may have experienced an overdose at some point or who are at high risk of relapsing. This facility focuses on offering treatment services and discharge planning to set clients up for success in the long term.
The opioid treatment program addresses similar issues. It offers personalized evaluation and treatment planning, individual and group counseling options, case management and methadone treatment services administered by a highly trained team of professionals.
