About Talbert House ADAPT for Men and Women
The Talbert House ADAPT for men and women is a halfway house for alcohol and drug addiction treatment. They accept men and women 18 and older and have gender-specific facilities, which allow guests to fully concentrate on getting sober without outside interruptions or distractions.
Medication assisted treatment is available and may be highly beneficial for recovery. These prescribed medicines are FDA-approved for addiction treatment and are helpful with reducing withdrawal symptoms and alleviating drug cravings.
Your length of stay may vary and will depend on your progress while at Talbert House. The team will develop discharge planning, which may include referrals to community resources and ongoing services or treatment.
Individual and group counseling sessions help target thinking patterns and work on relapse prevention strategies that may involve avoiding people and places that can be triggers for substance use. They will work with you on family relationships and reintegration into the community, vocational services, and life skills training. They also provide access to medical care services when needed. These methods combined could help you have a more successful recovery journey, leading to long-term sobriety.
