About Stella Maris
Stella Maris offers a full continuum of services for substance use disorders. They’re located in Cleveland, Ohio. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Adults who are 18 years of age or older will be eligible for treatment. They do ask that you’ve been at least 12 hours substance-free before being admitted into treatment.
The detox unit is able to house 20 individuals. You are going to have medical care 24/7. Included in your detox treatment is counseling, group therapy and peer support. You will undergo toxicology testing. The average length of stay is between five to seven days.
Their residential unit is high intensity and is clinically managed. Before, they only housed 12 men. Recently, they expanded to 32 beds and now treat both men and women. Your treatment plan is going to be based on your needs and goals.
You are going to have a daily schedule. You’ll attend educational and counseling groups. They do offer primary care services, which I do like. They also provide psychiatric services and case management. Urine screenings will also be down to make sure you stay accountable. Most people stay between 28-45 days.
Outpatient services are available after you finish your detox and residential treatment. You’ll attend therapy sessions in all levels of care.
For the partial hospitalization program (PHP), you are required to attend your sessions five days per week for five hour days. The intensive outpatient program differs in the time you spend in treatment. For the first five weeks you will attend your sessions five days per week for three hours a day. You will then temper down to four days per week for four weeks,
They also offer recovery management and non-invasive outpatient treatment. You’re allowed a lot of flexibility as you can apply what you have learned to your daily life. For three weeks you will attend a group twice a week for two hours. After, you will step down to once a week for four weeks.
