About Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health New Era Center

The New Era Center is one of eleven outpatient clinics run by Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health, which has served the southeastern and east-central regions of Missouri for over 50 years. They’re located on Warrior Lane, not far from the Black River Coliseum, Poplar Bluff Museum and the city’s Historic Downtown.

Their services include 24/7 crisis stabilization and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid recovery. Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health accepts various insurances and offers discounts based on income and family size, ensuring no one is denied access to care due to an inability to pay.

Medication-Supported Recovery For Opioid Addiction

Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health is a leading provider of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in Missouri. I like that their extensive telehealth network allows you to access MAT even if there’s no local physician nearby or if transportation is a challenge.

MAT at the New Era Center may involve a prescription of either Suboxone, Methadone or Buprenorphine as part of your tailored recovery plan after assessment. These medications ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings, helping you focus on counseling to address underlying issues and build lasting relapse prevention skills.

This integrated approach helps you achieve long-term abstinence. You’ll have access to a case manager who can help you meet personal needs from stable housing and employment to education, legal support and primary care. Case managers will also connect you with community self-help groups like Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous to help you build a strong sober support network/

Helpful Services For Legal Needs

The New Era Center is state-approved to provide the court-ordered Substance Awareness Traffic Offenders Program (SATOP) for DUI offenders, with a focus on accountability, education and reducing repeat offenses. They also offer drug and alcohol testing services that meet Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Along with services to meet your legal needs, I also noticed the facility provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help folks manage personal or work-related challenges.
