Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health Council develops and implements systems, programs, and resources in an effort to unify providers statewide and improve access to behavioral healthcare for Missouri’s residents. From Education to Recovery: Comprehensive Treatment in Dexter, Missouri

The treatment team takes a whole person approach to recovery through the Comprehensive Substance Treatment and Rehabilitation (CSTAR) Program. I think most clients will like CSTAR for its versatility and customization.

The program provides clients with comprehensive SUD treatment by offering a combination of supportive services in addition to regular treatment and recovery services. Supportive services, such as temporary living arrangements, are flexible and different for each client depending on the situation. The program also addresses the unique needs of adolescents, women with children, and adults.

The clinic at this location provides outpatient SUD services, including therapy and psychiatric services, such as psychiatric medication management. They have MAT treatment which includes medication as well as counseling for the treatment of co-occurring mental health disorders.
