About STOP Treatment Center Kent
STOP Treatment Center has seven Washington State locations. One location is on Meeker Street in Kent, Washington. It’s surrounded by skate parks, greenspaces, and opportunities to just wind. The Kent facility focuses on treating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Additionally, they have programs for domestic violence and anger management.
I noticed about this program is they accept Tribal funds for payment. They also take Medicaid, TRICARE, and private health insurance.
Deferred Prosecution for Misdemeanor Charges in Kent
I think some clients will appreciate the deferred prosecution program at this facility. If a client is charged with a misdemeanor, the charge may be deferred as long as the client completes the recommended alcohol, drug, or mental health treatment program. The program is based on the contributing reason for the offense. Deferred prosecution helps you avoid jail time. For DUIs, most clients who complete the program find that their insurance isn’t raised, they don’t lose their license, and there’s no conviction on their record.
The center offers outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for substance use and addiction for those not involved in the criminal justice system. The regular outpatient program is divided into substance users without an addiction and substance users with psychological or physiological addiction.
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) runs 12 weeks and meets three days a week for about three hours each meeting time. To graduate from the program, clients need 72 hours of treatment.
Domestic Violence and Anger Management Treatment
The domestic violence treatment program is for clients who have a pattern of control issues and abusive behavior that often leads to emotional or physical battery in their relationships. The course covers verbal, emotional, and physical abuse in any type of domestic living relationship, including husbands, wives, and other family living arrangements.
The anger management course helps clients learn to reduce the physiological and emotional reasons for anger. The goal is to help clients understand their behavior and learn to control their reactions instead of lashing out.
