About Social Treatment Opportunity Programs Kent

STOPWA is located in Kent, Washington. Treatment is provided for mental health, domestic violence, drugs and alcohol, as well as anger management. They accept most insurance plans.

I like that their outpatient chemical dependency program is separated into two categories. The categories are substance use abusers and substance use dependent. By doing this, they are able to provide the appropriate level of care.

Substance use abusers are individuals who are not dependent on drugs and alcohol. They just enjoy the feeling of euphoria these substances can give. The program will help you with social planning, mental health stressors, holistic living, and making appropriate decisions.

If you are considered substance use dependent then you depend on chemicals to function. You may be physiologically, sociologically or psychologically dependent. Most individuals will typically have a family history of drug dependency or alcoholism.

The intensive outpatient program requires attendance of 72 hours. It must be completed in 12 weeks. In order to complete the hours needed in the time frame they require, you will attend treatment three days per week for three hours per day.

The deferred prosecution program is if you have a misdemeanor charge. The misdemeanor charge must be linked to alcohol, drugs, or mental health. In order to have the charge deferred, you must begin and complete the recommended treatment program.
