About Serenity Path
Serenity Path is a nonprofit outpatient treatment center in Paynesville, Minnesota. They are solely dedicated to treating adults living with alcohol and drug dependency. Their philosophy is that no one chooses to be addicted and everyone has the potential to change with strong, non judgemental support. They follow an intensive outpatient 12 Step treatment model. This facility is also a provider of DUI/DWI classes. This is an abstinence based program.
Giving Women a Safe Place to Recover
Serenity Path serves both men and women, but their recovery housing program is just for women. Sober living houses like these give you a safe place to focus on recovery during or after treatment.
What I think is great about Serenity Path's sober living program is that it combines the group living environment with independent living and continued treatment. Clients residing at the home will find themselves with different needs, so this approach ensures everyone gets the kind of support they need.
Think of sober living as a step between treatment and returning home. It's like a safety net or bridge as you begin the process of reintegrating into your home life.
Intensive Support for Your Stability
Another aspect of Serenity Path's program I appreciate is their intensive case management service. By working with a case manager you'll have an advocate on your side who will work diligently to help you identify where you need extra support. Their focus goes beyond treatment and includes your daily needs, like those relating to transportation, employment and independent living.
A Guiding Light to Finding Support Groups
The last thing I want to draw attention to is how Serenity Path helps clients find local support groups that fit their needs. There are lots of groups to choose from and finding one whose approach you gel with can take a lot of time. But staff can help you with their listings and get you connected whenever you're ready to join.
