Second Chance Care is located in Potomac, Maryland. Outpatient services for mental health and substance use are available to adults 18 years and older. Maryland Medicaid and TRICARE East are accepted, as well as other major insurance plans.

The intensive and standard outpatient offer about the same services. They offer structured therapy and support to help you build a strong foundation that will lead to long term recovery.
The main difference between the programs is that the standard outpatient treatment also uses a holistic approach. They use mindfulness practices, nutritional guidance and physical wellness activities.

I do like how they have flexibility with session scheduling. Their sessions are available morning, afternoon, and evening. I like how they make it easy for you to balance your treatment with work, school, and family.

Individual and group therapy sessions are provided. During group sessions you will be able to share experiences and build peer support. Through individual counseling you’ll be able to go over your personal growth and share your specific challenges. Family involvement is critical to recovery. Therefore, family therapy is included in your treatment plan. You will also be able to focus on life training skills and relapse prevention.
