About Rubicon Womens Treatment Community

Richmond Behavioral Health Authority offers behavioral healthcare and substance use disorder. You'll find 'em located out in Richmond City, Virginia. Their North Campus has 13 acres and six buildings in the Highland Park area. It can accommodate up to 182 men, women, and women with their children under 11 years old. On Rady Street, they have their Women’s Residential Treatment Center (WRTC).

The WRTC serves women regardless of their marital status or if they have kids. This residential facility is one of only three in the state that allows children to come with their mothers into residential treatment. City residents and clients referred by partnering service boards can also access services here. However, please note that pregnant and parenting women get priority admission into this program.

They provide gender-specific and proven treatments for their clients. They work with the mothers in their program to nurture their child’s growth and development. Women will participate in individual and group therapy sessions. They'll learn about trauma, addiction, mental and physical health and coping with life’s challenges. Mothers will also have specialty programming on parenting. While mothers are attending treatment, onsite children can participate in the Children’s Services Center on campus.

The center itself features a warm and inviting atmosphere. It maintains a clinical look, but they have hardwood floors, a wall to inscribe personal messages, and plush furniture. There’s lots of communal space for fellowship and for your kids to play.

North Campus also boasts a lovely kitchen garden. This greenspace is used by the Culinary Arts Program at North Campus and maintaining the gardens is part of holistic programming at WRTC. They’re also near Shockoe Creek.

Please note that this is a smoke-free campus.
