Psychiatric Recovery for Marylanders

Your personalized plan has a step by step plan that builds steadily over time. The everyday activities you do will make your more independent and confident. I appreciate that they don’t offer a cookie-cutter approach. They focus on what optimal health looks like for each client. Using each person’s strengths, they work towards helping you reach your goals. One important skill taught to residents is how to recognize symptoms of relapse and how to prevent it.

Residential Rehab in Silver Spring

Rock Creek’s residential program is for any adult who has a severe mental illness, developmental disabilities or dealing with emotional and/or behavioral challenges. The goal of this program is to help residents integrate into the community after their discharge.

I like that residents get a home-like environment where they choose the community activities that will help them gain the skills they need to thrive. Staff, clinicians, and peers will support you as you progress in your recovery.

If outdoor excursions are possible, there are some local attractions that can supplement your recovery. Recess Play Center is pretty close by, and the White Oak Recreation Community Center is within driving distance.

Mental Health Vocational Program

One of Rock Creek’s striking features is their supported employment services. I like that they have employment consultants on hand to help clients choose jobs that match their skills and interests. They offer assessments, observational interviews, and even work trials to help you jump start your career.
