This health center is located in Taholah, Washington on the Quinault Indian Reservation. The Quinault Indian Nation consists of descendants of the Quinault, Queets, Quileute, Hoh, Chehalis, Chinook, and Cowlitz people. The Quinault Indian Reservation is on 23 miles of Pacific coastline in Conifer forest lands.

This center strives to provide the community with access to all the services and programs they need for their health and wellbeing.

Substance Use Treatment on the Quinault Indian Reservation

I’m impressed by the many services the Quinault Indian Nation Roger Saux Health Center offers. This includes support for all needs from prevention education and activities to outreach programs. These services are all outpatient levels of care. If you need it, they can refer you to inpatient treatment.

Tribal members can come to the center for drug and alcohol evaluations and DUI evaluations. They also have individual counseling and group therapy. There are two levels of programs depending on your needs. You can enroll in their intensive outpatient or outpatient treatment program.

You can also get involved with Al-Anon and join various specific groups. For example, they have a co ed group, a relapse prevention group and more.

They offer suboxone to treat opioid use disorders. As part of this treatment, you’ll join with others for group sessions as well as get individual therapy sessions to address your specific needs. They also offer on site drug screening.

Outreach Programs in Taholah, WA

I appreciate that they run an outreach program in the Taholah Jail. The Taholah Jail can house up to 20 inmates at a time. This allows willing inmates to get substance use treatment while they are incarcerated. Once they leave, they are that much further ahead on getting their lives back on track. They also offer outreach programs in nearby Queets and Aberdeen.
