About Project New Start Newport
Project New Start Newport is a Christian nonprofit organization located in Newport, Arkansas. They offer a variety of services for homeless people and people with substance use disorders. These services include residential addiction treatment, transitional living, and a jail ministry. They also have sober living apartments for families.
Their men’s recovery home is called Gideon House and can treat 14 men at a time. The women’s recovery home is called Esther House and can treat 16 people at a time. The Living Water Recovery Center offers treatment and housing for pregnant women and their young children. All programming is based on having a relationship with Jesus Christ. During programing as a resident you’ll attend life skills classes and nursing home ministry. They assert through studying the bible all residents and their children will become happy, healthy, and whole.
Through an initiative called Community Pride in Action, volunteers help keep the community clean by doing lawn care and car washes.
