About PFH Bridgeway Behavioral Health Dunnica

Preferred Family Healthcare is a CARF-accredited treatment facility located in a suburban corner of Saint Louis, Missouri. For over 40 years they have provided high-quality care to children and adults who are struggling with mental health conditions and substance abuse disorders. You’ll benefit from receiving outpatient care here because they provide flexibility in working with your schedule to get the treatment you need. They offer special services including primary care, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and virtual services.

One special feature that grabbed my attention was the Dunnica Sobering Support Center (DSSC). When you’re transitioning into a life of recovery in the early stages, you might experience discomfort, withdrawals, and cravings from the effects of chemical dependency. This can be dangerous or life-threatening, so their team of licensed clinicians assists you during orientation, monitoring, and observation in their crisis stabilization unit. This has 12 beds with showers, snacks, and assists you with getting connected to resources that’ll elevate your quality of life for long-term recovery.

Their (IOP) offers a variety of supportive services such as group education, group therapy, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and case management. Individual counseling will be twice a month with group sessions totaling nine hours weekly. Their approach to providing psychiatric services allows you to get the healing you need if you’re struggling with symptoms related to your mental health that could be impacting your recovery.

Their Substance Awareness Traffic Offenders Program (SATOP) can also help clients under court orders. It’s not uncommon to have some involvement related to the courts due to drug or alcohol-related traffic offenses. An offender management unit (OMU) is a SATOP assessment to get you connected to classes based on the level of care you can benefit from.

Each program has a different schedule and different topics, but they share the same approach of developing healthier choices, understanding the risks of chemical dependency, counseling, and utilizing coping skills. The programs offered are the Serious and Repeat Offender Program (SROP), Offender Education Program (OEP), Weekend Intervention Program (WIP), and Clinical Intervention Program (CIP).

If you need to unwind and relax between sessions, Amberg Park isn’t too far away. You can clear your mind and even exercise.
