About Powell Recovery Center

Powell Recovery Center is an alcohol and drug rehab located in Baltimore, Maryland. The center offers levels of care including medically assisted detox, medication assisted treatment, inpatient treatment, an intensive outpatient program and standard outpatient programs. Treatment is available to adults aged 18 and older of different backgrounds, ethnicities and walks of life. Dual diagnosis care is also available to those struggling with concurrent mental health issues.

They offer a medically assisted drug and alcohol detox, ensuring clients are medically, emotionally and therapeutically supported during this difficult first step. Suboxone maintenance is also offered for opioid dependence, alongside case management and peer support to help clients set their recovery goals during this early part of the treatment process.

Medication assisted treatment supports clients by offering therapy in conjunction with either Suboxone, Vivitrol or methadone dosing. This treatment is available for clients in residential treatment.

Residential treatment offers comfortable lodging for individuals undergoing intensive recovery programming. Clients have access to three nutritious meals a day plus extra snacks, in a safe, supportive house with scheduled tasks and activities to provide structure. Regular peer support groups are held, alongside individual and group therapy sessions. Art therapy is also offered, alongside individual case management services, treatment groups and interpersonal and self-management skills education.

The intensive outpatient program involves group sessions five times per week, along with individual counseling sessions and individual case management sessions upon request. Clients undergoing intensive outpatient treatment also have access to Suboxone medication management and mental health services as needed.

PRC accepts self pay and sliding scale options. Clients may require referral for additional, more intensive care that accepts private insurance plans such as Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, United Healthcare and others. Clients are advised to clarify coverage with individual providers regarding out of network benefits.
