You’ll benefit from various community recovery oriented activities alongside therapeutic exercises. These include weekly individual sessions and many group activities across various recovery aspects. This is a great avenue to share stories with peers on the same recovery journey as you and build healthy relationships that’ll last beyond your recovery cycle.

You’ll learn social interaction, parenting and vocational skills, and daily living skills. This may include effective communication, solving problems, making good decisions and managing stress/anger. This inspires independent living and personal responsibility while preparing you for a productive life after recovery. The group also covers the concept of trauma recovery and grief and loss. The great thing about these group activities is that they provide you a network of support and shared understanding that makes your recovery journey less lonely and more manageable.

You can expect at least 30 hours per week of intensive, structured and staff-facilitated group activities. You’ll have various evidence based treatment models at your fingertips based on your unique condition. These include seeking safety, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. They also offer solution focused therapy, corrective thinking and acceptance & commitment therapy models.

Strength based counseling may be used if relevant to your personalized treatment. 12-step meetings are a key component of this program. You’re encouraged to attend regularly, find a sponsor and share or apply what you learn in your recovery journey. Family involvement is also emphasized in the program. It’s expected that at graduation you’ll have the tools and confidence to maintain your recovery and live independently by graduation.
