About Pathways Residential Treatment Center
Pathways Treatment Center and Intensive Outpatient Program is part of Centra Health, which is a nonprofit healthcare system located in Lynchburg, Virginia. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission. If you are struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction, they are able to provide comprehensive support. They accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare. If you are uninsured they will be able to determine if you qualify for their discounted sliding fee scale. You will need to provide your household size and income for qualification purposes.
When you begin your recovery journey, you will call and speak to their intake counselor. They will ask questions to determine the best treatment path for you. You may benefit from either their residential program or their intensive outpatient program (IOP).
The therapist, during your individual sessions, will help you create your treatment plan. They will also help you develop new coping skills, as well as find balance between acceptance and change. During your group therapy sessions, your peers will be able to help you feel like you are not alone. You and your peers will be able to share your experiences and struggles in a safe place.
If you require a more intense approach to treatment, they will recommend their residential program. The length of stay will be different from person to person. Their intensive outpatient program provides a lot more schedule flexibility. You attend your treatment session during the day for six to eight weeks. Your sessions will require you to attend three days per week for three hours per day.
During your treatment, you will be provided with an array of person centered treatment. You will be able to participate in recreational activities such as art, yoga and therapeutic outings. Exercise will also be encouraged. If needed, they provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) in all of their programs.
