During the intake process, a comprehensive assessment and evaluation will be completed. This is to determine what approach and best level of treatment you can benefit from. An individualized treatment plan will be developed for you and your counselor can work on and refer back to. This will help you achieve your goals and achieve a life of long term recovery.
While you’re in treatment, a case manager will monitor you throughout the time you’re in treatment. This is to provide advocacy, continued support, referrals, and linkage to local community resources. They can help you develop a recovery plan, receive family support resources, and assist with employment search as well as housing placement.
Individual counseling will be where a majority of where the healing can take place. Holistic therapies will be incorporated during your counseling sessions to help you process your addiction, learn from others, and find ways to prevent relapse. With these therapies combined, this will help you develop coping skills, strengthen decision making, learn to regulate your moods, and manage stress.
Medication assisted treatment provides medication and behavioral therapy or counseling services. The medication provided helps individuals struggling with withdrawals from chemical dependencies. This can provide more stability and improve your focus during treatment. Common medications used include Suboxone, Vivitrol, methadone and buprenorphine.
