About Vocational Rehabilitation Palmetto Center

The center offers vocational counseling and job placement assistance, supported employment and personalized planning to help clients prepare for, obtain and maintain competitive work. I appreciate how their approach recognizes that behavioral health challenges like substance use, depression and anxiety can be significant barriers to employment and they provide tailored supports to help individuals overcome those barriers and achieve career goals.

Employment Services

Staff provide vocational assessment, counseling and guidance and help clients develop an Individualized Plan for Employment based on their unique needs and career goals.

Services include job readiness training and assistive technology, on the job supports and placement assistance designed to address both the practical and behavioral health related challenges clients face in the workplace. I want to add that the center partners with local businesses to match clients with opportunities that fit their skills and support sustainable, long term employment outcomes.

Ongoing Workplace Assistance

For individuals with the most significant disabilities, the center offers supported employment services with ongoing workplace support to help clients succeed in competitive integrated jobs. Supports are customized to each person's needs and continue as long as needed to ensure job retention and growth.
