About Paar Center Drug Program

Located in Porterville, California, PAAR South is an inpatient drug rehab for men. This 14-bed facility is part of the PAAR Center, a non-profit rehabilitation center that has been serving people with substance use disorder since 1965.

The residential treatment program at PAAR South runs 90 days and provides for all of the client’s essential needs so they can focus on their addiction recovery. The program is 12 Step-centered and uses the social model with fellow men in recovery leading sessions and sharing their experiential knowledge with clients.

During this program, clients attend peer support groups and complete educational courses in anger management, problem-solving, domestic violence, stress management, and medication awareness. The program also contains a family education and awareness component in addition to recreational and fitness activities for holistic wellness.

They’re licensed by the State of California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs. Insurance plans may be accepted from insurance providers such as TRICARE, Magellan Health, ComPsych, Aetna, and Ambetter.
