About Off The Square Club

Off the Square Club is a truly unique program offered by Lutheran Social Services in Madison, Wisconsin. It’s by Jefferson Park and Lake Monona.

The day program is open to all individuals living with a mental health challenge or substance abuse. As a group space, it serves to link each individual to specific supportive services, from counseling and peer support to crisis services. You can also go there to get a warm meal and stay out of the cold, almost like a shelter.

Services here are open to everyone, regardless of background and life situations.

Find Your Community Services

What I love about this program is that it really tries to provide something for everyone, as seen in the resource assistance and referrals program. You can use this to get assistance from groups and services throughout the community. Think things like social services and supports designed to help your day to day functioning.

A Place for Basic Needs

Off the Square Club also provides amenities to get you through the day—things like internet access and laundry facilities, for example. I like this because when you’re in recovery or just facing challenges in your life, small things can really add up. It’s a big relief knowing you can turn to a place like this to take care of some of the basics.
