About Oakwood Clinical Associates

Oakwood Clinical Associates is located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. They provide counseling services for men and women with mental health, substance use, and trauma. Medicaid is one of the insurances accepted.

The exploration group is their co-ed support group. I like that the group offers a safe space where you can discuss substance use. You are able to talk about any processing issues when it pertains to change. You will not be required to purchase a workbook. The group meets one time per week for one and half hours.

They have a cognitive behavioral group that provides moral reconation therapy. This group is for those who have a substance use disorder.I like that they provide an all men’s group and an all women’s group. You will need to purchase a workgroup. Each group meets once per week, on different days, for one and a half hours.

A co-ed moral reconation therapy alumni group is available. They meet monthly for an hour and a half. I like that this group focuses on providing maintenance to those who passed the 12 Steps to moral reconation therapy.

If you would like to meet with a peer support specialist, it’s free. The specialists are individuals who are certified, but they themselves have a personal experience with addiction. This option stands out to me because they are able to relate to you. The exploration group and the moral reconation therapy group do require an internal referral from a provider with an internal assessment and treatment plan.
