About 2118 NUWAY Counseling Center

The 2118 Nuway Counseling Center is part of the Nuway Alliance. The center is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They’re accredited by The Joint Commission.

Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides services to adults. You will receive treatment that is evidenced based. Treatments are provided such as motivational interviewing, enrolling in a 12 Step program, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

I like that the length of the program will be dependent on you. It is based on your personal treatment goals.

If you don’t have a stable home environment, they will be able to help you. You will have the option to live in a recovery residence that they have partnered with.

Each week, they have 20 units of licensed co-occurring treatment. Offered is group, individual and gender sensitive programming. I do like that nutritional snacks are provided. Not only are snacks a great incentive to motivate you to attend, they also help build your body and mind and give you a better way to cope than using drugs.

I like that you will have peer support. You’ll be able to relate to your peers and create a sense of community. You will be able to lean on each other for support and understanding throughout treatment and even after you graduate from the program.

Transportation assistance is available. This service is extremely helpful especially when living in one of the recovery residential homes or if you don't have access to a car.

What stood out to me is that all their programs are trauma informed, co-occurring and LGBTQIA+ safe and friendly. They are also medication assisted treatment (MAT) friendly.

Amenities

Private Rehab

Private drug rehab provides a comfortable, secure environment that allows you to focus on doing the work to get your life back on track. Benefits include a higher staff-to-client ratio, increased one-on-one time with therapists and healthcare providers, private rooms for clients, and customized forms of therapy.

Residential Setting

Residential drug rehab provides the comforts of home with the therapeutic support needed to successfully recover. Benefits of an inpatient program include increased safety, a higher success rate, and the time and distance given to focus on recovery. Residential drug rehabs are often the preferred method of treatment, as they can be tailored to meet specific needs, offer focused therapeutic care, and provide the necessary tools to sustain recovery.

Rec Room & Activities

Recreational therapy uniquely combines therapeutic interventions with an activity, like horse-riding, hiking, wilderness therapy, basketball, tennis, or a full workout. Benefits of recreational therapy include providing a healthy way to work through the emotions of recovery, learning to build and maintain relationships, improving communication skills, and building self-esteem.

Meditation Room

Yoga and meditation are great activities to support your recovery process during alcohol or drug rehab. These therapies have been around for centuries, and they are an effective way to improve well-being. Combining addiction treatment, yoga, and meditation can reduce cravings, improve sleep, relieve anxiety and depression, provide stress relief, promote relaxation, support emotional healing, and improve energy levels.

Private Rooms

In order to maintain a sense of autonomy, many private rehab facilities offer clients the ability to choose their own private rooms. The privacy and personal space ensure that the recovery process is as comfortable as possible.

Addiction Treatment Programs

Adult Program

When an individual struggles with drug and alcohol use, an adult program in Minnesota can provide treatment and mental health support. Designed for men and women over the age of 18, these programs help individuals obtain and maintain sobriety.

Alcoholism

The goal of alcohol rehab in Minnesota is to help you make mental and behavioral changes that lead to recovery and long-term sobriety. Most methods rely on a combination of group and individual counseling to accomplish these goals.

Men's Rehab
