About Nsight Psychology and Addiction

Since 2013, Nsight Mental Health & Wellness has given Newport Beach residents access to some of the leading mental health treatments in California. You can get inpatient crisis stabilization, residential and outpatient (OP) treatments and psychiatric assessments. There’s also partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) programs as step downs from residential care. Clients can get access to transitional living homes where they can continue to practice their recovery skills well having connection to the real world. They treat young adults and adults.

The primary focus of their treatment is to get to the underlying issues like anxiety, trauma and depression that drive addiction. They give you the structure and support you need to recover and stay sober. I like that they teach you to establish a healthy routine and support system so when you leave, you can keep doing the same things from home.

As part of your treatment you'll have access to individual therapy sessions, daily group process sessions that are a mix of cognitive (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). You'll get five to seven evening support groups, family sessions and somatic and eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

You can also get medication assisted treatment (MAT) at this facility. You'll be prescribed FDA approved medications to help prevent relapse and block the effects of opioid drugs. Dosing is supervised by their team of therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.

They also offer specialty treatments to treat chronic major depression and other mental health issues. Common areas of treatment focus include grief and loss, identifying and overcoming triggers, abuse and trauma, dual diagnosis challenges, relationship issues, workplace issues, and the importance of creating a positive support community for long-term recovery. Clients also participate in relapse-prevention planning, life-skills building, and recovery-skills building.
